Bruce Holley: What sucks is I've had this idea for about 3 weeks. I've gotta get on the ball
Annapolis Bound: Sean,
Thanks for all that you do and for helping our company improve through your helpful insights and past experience!
You've mentioned before in your videos that you exclusively use Airbnb for your short-term rentals, vice HomeAway/VRBO. I completely agree with this logic and personally cannot stand HomeAway's terrible user interface on their app/website or their 3rd party customer service. They are not anywhere close to competing with Airbnb on the technology side of the short-term rental business.
I am ready to completely switch over to only running our listings through Airbnb, but HomeAway equates to almost ⅓ of our rental bookings! Any reasonable person would say that we'd crazy to walk away from those profits.
Do you have any tips on what can be done to make up that difference and drive the older "HomeAway generation" to our Airbnb listings?
Rob @ Annapolis Bound
S Birk: You spelled tutorial, "tutotial" in your title. Might be good to change it for better SEO
Meca Smith: I’m trying use the cleaning strategy and share my outlook calendar with my cleaners email address. But for some reason outlook won’t allow me to share this calendar. So I tried creating a gmail and I can seem to find the feature there either. Is there something I’m missing?
heffreyjö: Hello Sean I'd like to ask where do you target your break even point (how many days do you target to recover your monthly costs)? I remember you mentioned it at one of your videos but cannot find it. Thank you so much!
SandrineML: Hey Sean! Thanks for the great help. One question tho.. Is there any way that our cleaners can also see how many guests are checking in? Cheers!
Lotus Creek Management LLC: Do property management companies still make you fill out lease applications even though you inform them upfront that you’re corporate housing provider? They still make me fill them out... any thoughts/advice on this?
Erli Qiao: Hi Sean, great info! Does the ical auto update the airbnb calendar on google for you? Mine doesn't seem to work. I have to manually import again for changes or updates.
Thiago Silva Almeida: Just a new service I'm using that I think it's could be valuable to you and people who follows you: I'm not earning anything from them, just to make it clear. It's called turnoverBnB, it's basically a calendar website, where you invite your cleaning team to be part of, for free. It's only cost is if you want to pay your cleaning team throw them, which is 3% of the cleaning cost, I think. Just check it and tell what you think of it. Hope I could help!
Dorothy Hall: How many properties did you have before you made your Airbnb properties "automated."
Ryan Finchum: I just got an email from Airbnb saying that they are removing the co hosting Marketplace.. thoughts on this?
Yezzzir: This is one of my favorite videos of yours so far. Thank you for being so transparent and showing the entire side of the business. So valuable! This is incredibly useful when looking to scale.
PapaBear's Emotionally Intelligent Life: Another really great training! I found a couple great options but I'm still very interested in being a co-host for you guys here in Southern California.
